Yet another sports biopic on Karnam Malleswari Weightlifter

Here we an another sports biopic on Karnam Malleswari, the first Indian Olympic medal winner in the 1995 Olympics. The biopic is directed by Sanjana Reddy while the film is produced by Kona Venkat and M.V.V. Satyanarayana.

To the current generation this film will be an inspiration. In Olympics, a poor girl from a remote village in Srikakualm district won India's Bronze Medal. That's definitely a big story worth telling, "says Kona, who considers making a biopic on Karnam Malleswari as a great privilege".

In the recent times, we have seen various biopics of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, former Prime Minister Manmohan Singh, cricket lovers Sachin Tendulkar and Tony, actors NT Rama Rao, Sanjay Dutt, actress Savitri, boxing heroine Mary Kom have come to life.

And in the upcoming day, we will be having various other biopics of other great legends which are currently under the shooting, such as  Former Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Mayawati's biopic will feature Richa Chatta, Mohanlal in the life story of Vaidyanatha Bhagavathar, a Karnataka vidyaman, and Madhavan in the biography of scientist Nambi Narayanan. Sruta Kapoor plays the life story of badminton hero Saina Nehwal. Another badminton heroine PV Sindhu's life story is produced by villain actor Sonu Suit. Topsy plays the life story of cricket hero Mittali raj.
