World's largest flower in Indonesia

The world's largest flower in Indonesia's western Sumatra island. The flower, which is about 4 feet wide, is named as Rafflesia arnoldi.
Botanists say this is the largest flower in the world. Rafflesia arnoldi flowering plants belong to the parasitic flora. These plants have no roots and leaves. Scientists have said that these plants grow on another plant only, when the flowers come out and they are known to be parasitic on another plant.

Even though Rafflesia arnoldi is large in size, the stench of rotten meat from that flower is sterile. Hence this flower is also known as corpse.
Despite being the largest flower in the world, scientists claim that this flower is only a week old.
