Actor Suriya is at the receiving end of politicians for his recent remarks on NEET exams and alleged Hindi imposition in Tamilnadu. Speaking at a function organised by his Agaram Foundation, Suriya questioned NEET exams in State when there are government schools where there are no teachers and students prepare on their own.He also spoke against attempts made making Hindi being mandatory.
Miffed with his comments, a section of BJP men questioned why Suriya suddenly speaking controversial. They say that if he had the guts he should have made his children study in government schools. They also say that with his films nearing a release, he is making such statements for publicity. They add Suriya is doing them to gain publicity. Meanwhile a few State Ministers too have voiced against Suriya. They alleg that he is half baked in his statements and lacks clarity. Remember his wife Jyothika recently acted in Raatchaasi which was against the way government schools and it's teachers function.
