Periyarist movements demanded an apology from the actor Rajinikanth for his recent speech against E V R Periyar about a 1971 Dravidar Kazhagam rally held in Salem, the actor refused to apologize or express regret for his remarks. This incident took place at the golden jubilee celebrations of ‘Thuglak magazine’ in Chennai last week.
Hailed as a social reformer, Periyar founded Dravidar Kazhagam, which had its foundation in rationalism. The DMK was an offshoot of Kazhagam Dravidar. At this juncture, parties including Dravidar Kazhagam and DMK are demanding that Rajini should apologize.
DMK leader Stalin said friend Rajinikanth is an actor not a politician so he doesnot about about Periyar and his values. Udayanidhi Stalin has also announced that Rajini will definitely apologize for the talk about Periyar.
Speaking about this, Tamilaruvi Maniyan said that the son Stalin is the person who lives in identity of his father karunanidhi and Uthayanidhi, who is the son of M K Stalin. Speaking of Stalin and Uthayanidhi, he criticized them as the persons who is living on property owned by his father and Grand Father.
Whereas, Rajini has reached this great position in cinema by his own hard work and also he will start a political party soon.
