David Warner, the Sunrisers Hyderabad captain, was all happy after they won in the IPL 2020 Eliminator against Royal Challengers Bangalore. He called Man of the Match Kane Williamson as the team's 'banker'.
Williamson's scored an unbeaten 50 off 44 deliveries, which guided SRH to victory.
'What a masterclass player he is, always manages to find a way to dig deep. Whenever we find ourselves in trouble, he manages to stick in there and plays the pressure innings. We don't expect that but that's what he does and he's been doing it for years for New Zealand. Can't speak highly enough of the bloke,' said Warner in the post-match presentation.
Coming in at the fall of Warner's wicket in the sixth over, Williamson saw SRH slip further when they lost Manish Pandey and Priyam Garg in a phase of play controlled by RCB's spinners in the absence of dew.
