Vijay Sethupathi’s Maamanithan is first time with 4 scenes in single shot

Actor Vijay Sethupathi has always remains closer to the honour of winning National awards. Be his realistic performance in Dharmadurai and exceptionally mind-boggling performance in Super Deluxe, he has been worthy of it. Now, cinematographer Sukumar, who has cranked camera for ‘Maamanithan’ strongly believes that it’s not just Vijay Sethupathi alone, but even Gayathrie will definitely get National awards. “If they don’t get acknowledged, then National awards itself will go valueless. They have done such a great work in this film,” says Sukumar, who is teaming up with Seenu Ramasamy after ‘Dharmadurai’. Speaking about one of the strongest highlights of the film, Sukumar says, “There is a particular portion in the film, where we have shot four scenes in single take. Seenu Ramasamy felt that it will be a better project as all these scenes have continuity rather than going for cuts. So we decided to proceed and if not for the preparations of Vijay Sethupathi and Gayathrie, this would have not been possible.”

Speaking about the film’s gist, Sukumar says, “Maamanithan is about a message that we shouldn’t try to live others’ lives, but a self-made life with happiness and peace. It will be a realistic take on the middle class group.
