Fans of actors Ajith and Vijay are always at loggerheads. They fight in social media using bad words. In a Sri Lankan refugee camp at Puzhal on Monday night, the fight turned bloody. An Ajith fan was attacked by a Vijay fan with a knife for verbally abusing his favourite actor. Police identified the victim as Uma Shankar, 32, and the accused as Roshan, 34.
They were residents of the refugee camp, police said. As they were chatting in the street on Monday night, Uma Shankar allegedly made a derogatory comment about Vijay, which irked Roshan. A fight broke out between them. Roshan, who was infuriated, brought a knife from his home and stabbed Uma Shankar on his head, shoulders and chest.
