Viduthalai Chiruthaigal gets two seats from DMK

DMK today had a discussion with its alliance partner Viduthalai Chiruthaigal Katchi (VCK) and allotted them two seats to contest in the forthcoming Lok Sabha polls. Expressing happiness at the decision arrived in the meeting between two parties, VCK president Thol Thirumavalavan said, 'We are happy and thankful to the DMK. However the decision on contesting in Rising Sun symbol in the general interest of our alliance will be taken soon after consulting our party members.'

Meanwhile, DMK today held talks with leaders of CPI and CPM too. Thirumavalavan is expected to contest from Chidambaram. With AICC president Rahul Gandhi expected to visit Tamilnadu on 13 March, it seems DMK will finish talks with their alliance partners on seat sharing. MDMK members are expected to meet Stalin soon and ink pact too. IJK leader Parvendhar too met the DMK leaders in this regard and vouched his support.
