India's tourism industry has seen tremendous growth in recent years and revenue has increased, the tourism ministry has said.
It has been stated that, Tourism in India under Prime Minister Modi has seen an unprecedented growth. India ranked 65th in 2013 in tourism and tourism competitiveness. But now,It is currently progressing to 34th place in 2019.
With regard 96.69 lakh foreign tourists have arrived in India, with foreign exchange earnings of Rs 1.88 lakh crore.
Officials say the recent increase in visa's for tourists and the reduction in GST for hotels and lodges has led to an increase in tourist arrivals.
