TN Governor appoints new V-C for Mother Teresa University

Banwarilal Purohit, Governor of Tamil Nadu andChancellor of Mother Teresa Women’s University, Kodaikanal has appointed Dr Vaidehi Vijayakumar as Vice-Chancellor of Mother Teresa Women’s University, Kodaikanal for a period of three years with effect from the date of her assumption of office. According to an official release, Vaidehi Vijayakumar has rich teaching experience having been a Professor at the Anna University for more than 12 years.

She has been a Visiting Professor in several foreign universities such as Ryerson University, Canada, National University of Singapore, Nanyang Technological University, Singapore, etc. With regard to administrative experience, she has been a Head of Department for 6 years and 10months in Anna University and a Dean for 5 years in Anna University and VIT University.

In the area of promoting research Dr.Vaidehi Vijayakumar has guided 24 Ph.D research scholars and presented 266 papers at the international level research and academic events. Shehas also been a member of Board of Studies of various universities and a member of the Academic Council of Anna University and Vellore Institute of Technology.
