TN floods: Central team to submit report to govt soon

The seven-member inter-ministerial Central team that visited rain-affected districts of Tamilnadu and the Union territory of Puducherry, has left for New Delhi afer calling on Chief Minister M K Stalin at the Secretariat in Chennai.

It is learnt that the team would submit a detailed report to the Centre in a few days, based on which funds would be allocated to Tamilnadu. Tamilnadu on Wednesday demanded a compensation of Rs 4,625.8 crore from the Centre to carry out relief works in rain-affected areas.
