The annual thappa utsavam (floating festival) in Tirupati Balaji temple came to end yesterday.The processional deities of the Almighty were decked up and taken on rounds in the temple tank. The whole place was colorfully lit.
Devotees from various parts gathered on large numbers to seek the blessings of Almighty.Special poojas were performed and vedic hymns were chanted. Security were tightened and safety protocols were followed as per covid norms laid by the government.People offered prayers and went around the temple tank.
