These 4 South Indian films will break the myth of ‘Bollywood is Indian Film industry’ in 2 years?

So far, it has been ‘Bollywood’, which is regarded as Indian film industry. However, Baahubali took an emerging stand on breaking the barriers and bridging the gap. Now these four movies from the South Industry, among which both of them will be hitting screens within next few months and another two in next couple of years will complete bring an end to the myth “Bollywood is Indian Film Industry’. This is because, they have so much of cultural ethnicity and values to show the world from South Indian terrains.

Mammootty’s Mamangam


The film is set against the backdrops of 1695 and is all about an ancient festival that happened in Kerala once in 12 years. It is about two groups rivaling against each other and it will showcase the world’s oldest form of Martial arts – Kalaripayattu.

Sye Ra Narasimha Reddy


The film hitting screens on October 2, 2019 will be definitely a groundbreaking film for it speaks about the first ever warrior to declare war on British rule and how he sacrificed his life for the sake of country’s freedom.

Ponniyin Selvan


Directed by Mani Ratnam, the film will be made in dual parts depicting the fictional and real life story of a Kingdom that existed in Tamil Nadu centuries ago.

Sangamithra


This film is yet to get materialized and Sundar C is keeping more hopes on this film. This film brings in the story of a princess who gets acquainted with many Kings across India for a mysterious mission.
