Actor Rajinikanth chose to thank all those who attended his daughter Soundarya on her marriage with Vishagan, which took place on 11 February. In his letter, he thanked the Chief Minister, Deputy Chief Minister, opposition leader MK Stalin, and Union Minister Pon Radhakirshnan. He also thanked businessman Mukesh Ambani and his family, actor Kamal Haasan, other politicians, relatives, friends, police personnel and media for attending the wedding. Mukesh Ambani along with his wife Nita Ambani had come down to attend the wedding reception of Soundarya.
