Thandora Exclusive – Distributors put an end to ‘Veeram-Sanga Thamizhan’ controversial link

Few days ago, there was an announcement stating that Vijay Sethupathi’s Sanga Thamizhan is getting backed out from Diwali race. The reason being some of the distributors claiming the compensation for losses due to the Vijaya Productions. Moreover, there was a hearsay citing that it is also due to ‘Veeram’ loss. However, it is now clarified by a leading distributor, who has  insisted to hold back the release of Sanga Thamizhan.

He has cleared the picture to Thandora Times saying that Ajith Kumar’s Veeram wasn’t a failure and it had delivered good collections to all areas. But the basic problem was about the ‘Tax Exemption’ issue that prevailed during the point of release. Initially, the film was sold with ‘Tax exemption’ round up amount. But later, it was announced that the film will not be given this facility that led to some minor loss. For the other distributors, it was compensated through Vijay’s Bairavaa produced by the same production house.

Now, this particular distributor is asking for this compensation so that there isn’t any issue for Sanga Thamizhan release. At the same time, Vijaya Productions has already incurred a very big loss through distribution of multiple movies that includes Kaatru Veliyidai, which incurred them a loss of Rs. 15 Cr and Rs. 45 Cr through another movie.
