The National Investigation Agency (NIA) carried out raids at two houses in Trichy and Thanjavur this morning. The agency arrested two persons in Trichy for allegedly maintaining contact with terrorist organisations through social media. According to police, at 7 am, a three-member team of NIA from Coimbatore arrived at the residence of Sarbujeen (30) at Edamalaipatti Pudur, Trichy.
His family members were also questioned. The team searched every part of his house. The NIA seized a computer, laptop, passport, visa and some other gadgets from his house. The officials are also finding the details about his previous trips abroad.
