In a horrifying case of stalking and murder, a teacher was hacked in a classroom at Kurinjipadi, Cuddalore. According to reports, the victim Ramya (23), daughter of Subramani was hacked multiple times while she was taking class at a private matriculation school in Kurinjipadi. The murderer was a one-side lover, Rajesh, who fled the spot, he allegedly had been stalking her for a while. He even went to her house asking for her hand in marriage but the family refused.
This morning he carried out the murder and escaped. Ramya died on the spot and her body was sent to a nearby Government Hospital. Meanwhile, an unclaimed briefcase created panic at Egmore Railway station last night. According to sources, at 11.30 pm, passengers alerted the police about an unidentified bag at the general ticket booking counter.
Railway Protection Force (RPF) and Railway Police (RP) arrived at the spot to examine the bag. Suspecting it to be a bomb, the bomb detecting squad check it with a metal detector and the opened it. It was found to be a filled with switchboards. The police examined the CCTV footage and found a man had left it at the spot. This morning a man, identified as Bharathiratna (60) from Thiruvarur arrived at the station to claim his ‘missing bag’ which he forgot at the counter. Government Railway police carried out inquiries with him.
