The budget session of the Tamil Nadu Assembly begins tomorrow at 10 am. In this, Finance Minister O. Panneerselvam presents the budget for 2020-21. Since it is the last full budget of the AIADMK government headed by Chief Minister Edappadi, attractive announcements are expected to be made.
Tomorrow's budget is expected to feature attractive announcements, including providing breakfast to government school students.
There is also expectations regarding announcements on the implementation of the old pension scheme for public servants and teachers.
This budget is likely to allocate more funds for the civic body. More funds will be allocated in this budget for the creation of a new catchment lake in Thervoy Kandigai, which is adjacent to the catchment lakes of Chennai city.
Funds are also expected to be allocated during this budget session to build the Collector's office in the newly divided districts of Tamil Nadu - Tenkasi, Kallakurichi, Chengalpattu, Tiruppattur and Ranipet.
