The South Indian Film Artistes Association (Nadigar Sangam) is set to go to polls on 23 June. Two teams are participating in this year's election, one is Pandavar Ani that consists of Vishal, Nassar, Karthi, Karunass and Poochi Murugan, while the new team is led by filmmaker Bhagyaraj K. The new team has been named Swami Sankaradas Ani, after famous Tamil writer, actor, and playwright.
It has been reported that actor Prashanth will be contesting for the treasure post from Swami Sankaradas Ani. Bhagyaraj will lock horns with Nassar for the post of President, producer-educationalist Isari Ganesh will take on Vishal for the General Secretary post. The Bhagyaraj team filed their nominations and the actor-director said that it is with the blessings of Rajinikanth and Kamal Haasan that he is heading the team. He also promised to complete the construction of the Nadigar Sangam building within six to seven months if he is voted to power.
