Sequels have been ruling the roost and latest industry grapevine suggests that Kollywood's most loved couple - Suriya and Jyothika are likely to team-up once again for the second part of their 2003 blockbuster ‘Kaakha Kaakha'. The easy way out for filmmakers and heroes is to make a sequel to their hit films and the recent the second parts of K'town classics like VIP 2, Viswaroopam 2, Saamy 2, Sandakozhi 2, Maari 2 ,Charlie Chaplin 2 created a positive opening box office. On a similar vein, the latest buzz is that Kaakha Kaakha 2 is on the cards and Kalaipuli S Thanu’s V Creations which produced part 1 has approached director Gautham Menon to prepare the script for the sequel.
Though Jyothika dies in the first part, the production house seems to have insisted on bringing her character back somehow to recreate their chemistry from the '2000s. Gautham Menon who is busy sorting out his financial problems and several commitments has obliged and started preparing the script work, say sources. The director’s go-to man, Harris Jayaraj is also said to have confirmed to compose music for the film which will go on floors early 2020. Gautham has Dhruva Natchathiram, Jayalalithaa biopic web series, and Enai Nokki Paayum Thotta in various stages of production this year.
