They kidnap fifteen most corrupt employees from each government department and kill the most unscrupulous one. The movie spoke strongly against corruption. It had razor sharp dialogues. A hospital scene where a dead man would given treatment for money was a huge hit.

Simran was part of the movie. ilayaraja's music was another highlight.Ramana had action, message and feel-good moments. It was successfully remade in Telugu as Tagore by VV Vinayak starring Chiranjeevi. 17 years had gone since it's release, but it is still admired and adored by all.
