Sterlite protester, who insulted Rajinikanth was arrested under bike Theft

Samkumar from Tuticorin dictrict parked his two-wheeler on the Ettayapuram road. The robbers, who stole it, had advertised in the OLX that the vehicle was for sale.

Seeing this, Samkumar contacted people who were willing to sell his vehicle at OLX by cell phone. The theft boys who had come to Caldwell Colony had bargained for the stolen carriage of Shyam.
Samkumar complained to the police regarding this inccident and also took the police in Mufti clothes to catch the vehicle robbers with cash. The police surrounded the robber who was trying to smuggle another old vehicle into the dark, similar to the vehicle that had been stolen from Samkumar.

When the three robbers were enquired, Santhosh who was one amongst them, was found to have hit the national headlines in 2018 by trying to insult Rajinikanth. The Tamil superstar had gone to meet the injured people who had been fired by the Thoothukudi police. When the actor turned up to meet Santhosh, he asked, "Who are you?"

The 69-year-old, with a smile on his face, replied, "It's me Rajinikanth." Later, Santhosh had spoken about the incident in which he lashed out at the Tamil superstar for failing to meet them during their 100-day protest against the Sterlite plant.

Subsequently, the police arrested protester Santosh and his accomplices Manikandan and Saravanan under bike theft for stealing two-wheelers and preparing fake documents and selling them through OLX.
