State Environment Minister K C Karuppannan on Thursday said that as there is Supreme Court restriction in bursting crackers the state government would soon announce the time to burst crackers. “Since there is restriction in timings for bursting crackers during Deepavali, the state government will announce the timings for exploding crackers.
The State will provide permission to burst only the type of crackers that were already permitted,” said Karuppannan, after participating in a seminar on air quality organised by Anna University.
