Soon after the success of ‘Magadheera’, SS Rajamouli was trolled saying that the film was successful only because of Megastar Chiranjeevi’s family influence. To prove them wrong, he made his next film ‘Maryadha Ramana’ with comedy actor Sunil in lead role, which was a blockbuster. It wasn’t enough for the director and he went ahead making a housefly as ‘HERO’ in ‘Eega’ making it a tremendous hit.
