Skipper Dhoni powers CSK to last ball win

MS Dhoni and Ambati Rayudu helped the Chennai Super Kings to a four-wicket win in a last-ball thriller against the Rajasthan Royals at the Sawai Mansingh Stadium in their IPL clash on Thursday.

Shreyas Gopal and Jofrey Archer slammed 18 runs off the 20th over to power the Royals to 151 for seven. Chennai required 18 runs off the final over to win it with Ben Stokes given the responsibility to deliver. He was slammed for 21 runs and the Chennai Super Kings had performed the almost impossible. Mitchell Santner delivered the mortal blow with a six off the final ball when three was needed to do the job. CSK ended with 155 for six.

Ravindra Jadeja had struck a six off the first ball of the over, but Stokes bowled a brilliant yorker to remove one of the finest finishers of them all, Dhoni. He scored 58 off 43 balls.
