Sivakarthikeyan's Hero, which has been one of the most expected movies of this year had released yesterday worldwide (December 20, 2019). The film's pre-release phase was laoded with huge anticipations, but in contrast, the Day 1 Collection has been just Rs. 5.1 Cr in Tamil Nadu Box Office. It is noteworthy that Mr. Local had a whopping Day 1 collection of Rs. 6.25 Cr followed by Namma Veettu Pillai with Rs. 7.5 Cr in Tamil Nadu on the opening. With a long holiday season ahead, the film is expected to make a gradual progress in box office.
Directed by PS Mithran, Hero is produced by Kotapadi J Rajesh of KJR Studios with Kalyani Priyadarshan playing the female lead role. The movie has Action King Arjun in important role.
