The big news is here. Though few reports suggested that Nani would play the lead in Telugu remake of Vijay Sethupathi-Trisha starrer 96, it is now confirmed that the movie would be Sharwanand will share screen with Samantha Akkineni. The film is being produced by Raju and will be directed by Prem Kumar, who made the Tamil version. Still to be titled, the movie will go on floors this March.
So it is now confirmed that Sharwanand and Samantha are the Ram and Jaanu of Tollywood. Other cast and crew details will be announced soon. Buzz is that unlike Tamil version, the movie would have flashback set in a college and there romance strikes Sharwanand and Samantha. 96 was a big blockbuster in Tamil cinema. It ran for over 109 days and was appreciated by all.
