The two candidates of ruling AIADMK, former Minister A Mohammed John and N Chandrasekaran, on Monday filed their nomination papers for the July 18 biennial elections to the Rajya Sabha from Tamil Nadu, even as the Opposition DMK fieldeda fourth candidate, who also filed his papers on the last daytoday. Accompanied by AIADMK Coordinator and Deputy Chief Minister O Panneerselvam and Joint Coordinator and Chief Minister EdappadiK Palaniswami, the two AIADMK candidates filed their nominationpapers before Returning Officer and Assembly Secretary K Srinivasan.
The PMK, which was allotted one seat by the AIADMK as part of the pre-poll pact during the recent Lok Sabha elections, has nominated former Union Minister Dr Anbumani Ramadoss and he also filed his papers today.
