In a shocking incident, a sum of Rs one crore cashcarried by a person in a private bus from Telangana in Andhra Pradesh to Salem, went missing from his possession last night.
Reports received at the police headquarters here confirmed the incident. The person, who was a native of youth, was carrying the cash in a bag. He had reported dosed off, when one of the co-passengers had fled with the bag containing cash.
Police have registered a case and are investigating whether he had relevant documents to carry such an amount.
