A day after announcing the name of his next movie as Darbar, Rajinikanth today commenced the shoot of his movie with a customary pooja. Amidst vedic scholars chanting mantra, the movie shoot began. Sources say that Lyca Production owner Subashkaran, director A R Murugadoss and actor Rajinikanth attended the same. Popular lensman Santosh Sivan will crank the camera while Anirudh Ravichander will compose the music.
The rest of the cast and crew is yet to be revealed. Rajinikanth's last venture was Petta, directed by Karthik Subbaraj that had a great run. Expectations are high on Darbar as Rajinikanth plays a police officer after Pandian in 1992.
