PT Usha in Chennai, inaugurates Kids marathon

Little Millennium Kids Marathon, a short distance run by preschool children to spread awareness on child abuse, was flagged off by veteran athlete PT Usha in Chennai on Sunday.

Speaking on the occasion, she said, "Child abuse is a very important cause and I’m very happy to join Little Millennium to raise awareness in support of this cause. Little Millennium preschools are doing a great job in promoting healthy development and a love for running at an early age. I’m glad to be a part of this initiative and look forward to running with children tomorrow".

Raman Bajaj, Chief Executive Officer, Little Millennium Education Pvt. Ltd. remarked, "We are delighted to commence Little Millennium Kids Marathon in Chennai and honored to have the 'Queen of Track and Field' and PT Usha on this occasion. Our rich legacy of having nurtured 10,0000 children across 600 preschool centers in 100 cities have made us realize that besides educating and grooming children we need to create an environment which is safe and secure for children and promotes healthy development". He also adds, " Little Millennium follows a zero tolerance policy against child abuse and the key objective of this marathon is to spread awareness in support of this cause amongst the general public. Little Millennium Kids Marathon extends the spirit of sports and physical education by providing young children a platform to run and express themselves freely while using the platform to highlight the importance of an environment that is safe from child abuse".
