After several ifs and buts, it has been finally confirmed that PMK will fight the forthcoming Lok Sabha elections in the AIADMK alliance.
Sources say that a deal has been clinched in the city towards it. AIADMK leader and State Minister Thangamani held negotiations with PMK founder DR S Ramadoss in this regard. Sources say eventually it will be AIADMK, BJP, PMK, DMDK will forge a strong alliance and take on DMK and Congress.
As per the alliance deal between AIADMK and PMK, the PMK has been given seven LS seats and assured of one RS seat and PMK support to AIADMK candidates in 21 Assembly constituencies in case of by-poll. A 10 point agenda has been set by PMK for alliance with AIADMK that includes release of those convicted in Rajiv assassination case, exemption from Neet for TN, prohibition in phased manner, census on caste basis among others.
