In the the killing of Kaliyakkavilai Special Sub Inspector of Police Wilson, the police team from Kanniyakumari recovered the pistol that was allegedly used to shoot the official from a drain in Ernakulam, Kerala, on Thursday.
He was killed on January 8 by Y Thoufeeq (27) of Kottar in Nagercoil and A Abdul Shameem (29) of Thiruvithancode in Kanniyakumari at the check post in Kaliyakkavilai where he was posted. After searching the drain with the help of sanitary workers for nearly 30 minutes, they recovered the weapon.
