Pudhu Suriyan
Singer: Anuradha Sriram
Lyrics: Uma Devi
After a long time, we happen to experience the soothing voice of Anuradha Sriram, which indeed becomes a major attraction. Uma Devi, who is far-famed for scoring brownie points with lyrics based on emotional essence, repeats the magic. The fortepianos and mild strings in the backdrops adds up the feel.
Chill Bro
Singer: Dhanush
Lyrics: Vivek-Mervin
It’s a song of trademark signature style from Vivek-Mervin duo that doesn’t miss to offer a Chartbuster peppy number in every album. It’s a song well tailored for the teens and obviously for the Dhanush fans. The rhythmic accompaniments on percussion and the usage instrumentals happen to be the major highlight besides the singing style of Dhanush.
Jigidi Killaadi
Singer: Anirudh
Lyrics: Vivek
Although, the song somewhere commutes us to the fainting resemblances of few songs, it doesn’t hamper the impression. Anirudh is well known for his easy-flowing renditions and this song appeals for this factor. In addition, the way the mixing of instrumentals and vocalisms have been done furthermore intensifies the impact of song.
Morattu Thamizhanda
Singers: Vivek Siva and Mervin Solomon
Lyrics: Vivek
It’s a song that definitely needs special mention for the lyrical essence. Kudos to Vivek! He has done a commendable job in penning lyrics that are simple and at the same time gripping. Although, the percussion and other rhythmic elements look little ordinary, the intonating part by Vivek and Mervin make up instead
Piriyadha Enna
Singers: Vijay Yesudas, Niranjana
Lyrics: Ku. Karthik
On the first note, the song strikes some close similarity to Yuvan Shankar Raja’s ‘Machaan Machaan’ from Silambattam. However, the tune takes a diversion by the second minute. Vijay Yesudas and Niranjana offer their best and so happens to be the interludes by Vivek-Mervin that stands out to be outstanding.
A Mother’s Love
Instrumental Theme
Vivek-Mervin duo has showcased its best potentials through these mellisonant tunes. It is obvious that this track with the visuals is going to bring in the emotional preciseness.
As on whole, the tracks in Pattas are passably good. While ‘Chill Bro’ and ‘Jigidi’ will be the instant picks, the other tracks might take some time to brew up.
VERDICT: OKAY! COULD HAVE BEEN BETTER
RATING: 2.5/5
