Pachavatee Anjaneya temple gets Venkateswara statue

Panchavatee, famous for the gigantic 36 ft Vishwaroopa Jayamangala Anjaneya Swamy temple, will now be known as the 'Madhya Tirupati' with the installation of a stone statue of Lord Venkateswara by the Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD), which administers the popular hill shrine atTirumala in Tirupati. The TTD would be donating a seven-and-a-half feet tall Sri Venkateswara idol, which would be consecrated at Panchavatee temple, located on the Chennai-Puducherry road near Tindivanam, about 125 km from here, tomorrow.  

The stone statue carved, sculpted and brought to Panchavatee from Tirumala by TTD, was brought to the Panchavatee temple premises on Friday and it would  be consecrated between 0630 hrs and 0800 hrs by Shri Vaikanasa Pradhista Thilagam Papakudi Sriman Venkatesa Bhattachariar.Talking to reporters here, Panchamukha Sri Jayamaruthi Seva Trust President M Kothandaraman said the temple was famous for its gigantic 36 ft ‘Viswaroopa Jayamangala Panchamukha Anjaneyaswamy idol, which was the tallest  in Asia, alongside separate sanctum sanctorum for Valamburi Ganapathy and Pattabisheka Ramachandra.
