Nearly two million 35 thousand people have fled their homes in the last two weeks due to fighting in Syria's northwest, the UN has said.
The country has suffered a major disaster due to civil war and terrorist attacks. The war against the militants has intensified in the second largest city, Idlib. As a result, people have been evacuated from Marat al-Numan in southern Idlib from 12 to 25 December. Almost that area is empty.
According to the United Nations Human Rights Unit, 2 million 35 thousand people have fled their homes. The Syrian army, with the help of the Russian Air Force, is carrying out heavy attacks in Idlib.
