OPS son warns legal action against those behind 'MP plaque'

With a plaque in a temple that listed AIADMK Lok Sabha candidate OP Ravindranath — Tamil Nadu Deputy CM O Panneerselvam’s son — as member of parliament even before the election results are out triggering a political row, Ravindranath has warned legal action against those behind the issue. "It is wrong that the plaque has mentioned me as MP. Those who have brought disrepute to me in this issue will face legal action," he has said.

Meanwhile, the plaque has been altered by removing the ‘MP’ tag, following furore on the social media. Kumar, son of Panneerselvam, is contesting as AIADMK candidate from Theni Parliamentary constituency. The private temple in a plaque listing out the names of major donors for the temple function had mentioned Kumar as Theni Member of Parliament and also J.Jayalalithaa as Chief Minister though she had died on 5.12.2016.
