Now Stalin meets Vijayakanth

Close on the heels of Rajinikanth calling DMDK chief Vijayakanth, DMK president M K Stalin drove all the way to Vijayakanth's house in Saligramam to enquire about his health today. With lots of speculation going around on whether Vijayakanth would join the AIADMK-PMK-BJP combine as seat sharing talks are still on, the meeting between Stalin and Vijayakanth assumes signficance. Stalin maintained that no politics was discussed and he just enquired about his health.

Though the AIADMK has been exuding confidence that the DMDK would eventually join the front, the surprise meeting former TNCC Chief Su Thirunavukkarasar had with Vijayakanth yesterday has set political tongues wagging that he might be roped into the DMK combine, that has already inked the seat sharing pact with Congress and was holding talks with other allies like the MDMK, CPI, CPI(M), VCK, MMK and IUML.

The meeting comes in the backdrop of DMK's vain bid to woo PMK led by Dr S Ramadoss, who after hob-nobbing with the DMK on possible alliance, clinched the seat-sharing deal with the AIADMK.
