This year no devotee will be allowed inside Paramapadha vatsal in Srirangam Ranganathaswamy temple during Vaikunta Ekadesi. The decision has been taken following Corona outbreak.
The Ranganathaswamy temple, considered the foremost of all Divya Desam temples as per Vaishnavite belief, celebrates the annual Vaikunda Ekadasi during the Tamil month Margazhi (December-January).The festival is celebrated for 21 days in the pattern of Pagal Pathu (daytime celebrations for 10 days) and Raa Pathu (night time celebrations for 10 days).
