Nellai Kannan granted conditional bail

The Tirunelveli Principal District Court on Friday granted conditional bail to Tamil orator and former Congress leader 'Nellai' Kannan, who was arrested for making provocative speech against Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah at a public meeting organized by Social Democratic Party of India (SDPI) against the Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA) recently.Thirunelveli: When his bail petition came up for hearing, Principal District Judge A Nazir Ahamed granted bail to the 75-year-old septuagenarian with a condition that he should appear before the Melapalayam police station twice a day (morning and evening) and affix his signature, till further orders, besides to execute a personal bond of Rs 10,000.
