The era before 2010 was a pretty much commendable one, where filmmakers, artistes and producers weren’t merely dependent on social media promotions and advertisements. They strongly believed in the fact that ‘Content is King’. Just dating back to 10 years in time – June 26, 2019, something really enchanting occurred in theatres. Following the success of Subramaniapuram, director Sasikumar and Samuthirakani collaborated for ‘Naadodigal’, which had a low key release. Even the press and media screening was only by afternoon. It happened in Sangam Cinemas (Chennai) that first show had just 50-60 audiences.

Of course, the film started and they were enjoying it for the fun and entertainment, but the ultimate power play occurred by the pre-interval drama, where the theatres echoed with unbelievable claps and whistles. P.S. – It was a time, where Twitter and Facebook hadn’t got them addicted and everyone called up their close friends to tell about the outstanding first half, which was followed by the emotional and gripping second hour. While the first show had such a minimal crowd, the evening show got houseful in the same theatre with the word of mouth publicity.

Such a success still remains to be an unbeatable one even 10 years after it release. Now we are curiously awaiting the arrival of second part – Nadodigal 2. We congratulate the entire team on 10 years of success and advance wishes for the success of second part as well.
