A 23-year-old techie was run over by tanker lorry after a banner erected by AIADMK fell on her Thursday. It has led to several politicians stating that they would not encourage banner culture and said that they DMK president MK Stalin slammed AIADMK government over the demise of a 23-year-old woman, Subashree. In a post on Twitter, Stalin said, 'Subashree has died due to negligence of the government, inefficient police officers.
The illegal banners have taken yet another life. My deepest condolences to her family. How many more lives will be lost to the power-hungry and anarchist rule?'In another tweet, Stalin said that he will not encourage banner or hoardings being put by his partymen anymore. If any such would be put, they would be taken to task. He said that he will not take part in events where banners are put.Echoing the same, AMMK general secretary TTV Dhinakaran asked his party cadres not to erect banners for any party related functions. PMK founder Dr Ramadoss too echoed the same.
