About 700 books were donated to the library in Hutton Night School at Chetpet and 200 to the village government library at Venmanampudur village near Kadambattur in Tiruvarur, a statement issued by the DMK said.
The books were received from cadre who were advised to avoid presenting shawls to the leader. Stalin has been periodically donating books to libraries received from his cadre, especially during his birthday in March last, which fetched thousands of books.
