The 51st commemoration of Arignar Anna was held today in a various parts of Tamil Nadu by political party members who paid tribute.
As a part Samapandi feast was held at the Kapaleeswarar Temple, Mylapore, Chennai, on the anniversary of his death.
Home Minister SP Velumani was present at the feast. The Samapandi Feast was organized in most of the temples in Tamil Nadu on behalf of the Hindu Religious and Charitable Endowments Department.
The minister, who sat down with the people at the banquet, later handed over the items to the public after the pooja, which including vesti and sarees.
