Metro Rail to organise month-long medical screening camp

Chennai Metro Rail Ltd has tied up with MGM Healthcare to conduct free medical screening camps at several Metro stations for the benefit of its passengers and general public. These camps which will start Thursday will go on till the end of this month. According to a Metro spokesperson, "On the camp dates, the event will take place between 8 am and 11 am. All the participants will be screened for height, weight, blood pressure (BP), random blood sugar using One Touch equipment, Spo2 and heart rate. The camp also covers a free consultation so requesting active participation from residents."
In June 2018, Chennai Metro Rail, to mark International Yoga Day, organised free yoga health camp at eight of its stations. CMRL officials said these sessions were conducted to create awareness about the art as well as for sound mind and body. And in August last year, CMRL conducted a massive oral health awareness camp covering as many as 10 Metro stations. It was conducted in association with Dr Smilez Dental Center.
