Valimai marks the reunion of Ajith, director H Vinoth and producer Boney Kapoor after their super-hit movie Nerkonda Paarvai. The film, produced by Bayview Projects LLP, Yuvan Shankar Raja is going to compose music for the film while Nirav Shah is going to rotate the camera.
At a recent award show, producer Boney Kapoor announced that actor Ajith was going to play the role of a police officer in the film. The first shooting of the Valimai film has been completed in Hyderabad. The next shooting of the film is in Chennai. Hema Qureshi is currently joining the film. She is a former lover of superstar Rajinikanth in the Kala film.
It has been reported that Ajith's character has been given a powerful and sinister name for the role.
