Former Indian and Baroda player Jacob Martun met with an accident recently and was admitted to a private hospital. He was put in ventilator. The sad news was that the family had no money to sponsor his treatment and they were clueless on what to do. Coming to now the situation, BCCI chipped in with help. Meanwhile former cricketers like Sourav Ganguly, Indian coach Ravi Shastri among others promised immediate help. The great thing was Chennai super Kings, the defending IPLchampions, immediately reponsed releasing Rs three lakh for treatment on their behalf.
Amidst such a scenario, India all-rounder Krunal Pandya made an impressive gesture. He gave a blank cheque to the family of Martin asking them to fill any amount nothing less than Rs one lakh. This gesture by Krunal Pandya has won appreciation for him in social media. With help pouring from all sides, one is confident that Jacob Martin will be back safe.
