Annual brahmotsavam at Kanchi Sri Varadaraja Perumal will begin 17 May. The famous Garuda Seva will take place on 19 May. The processional deity of the Almighty will be taken out on Garuda vahanam on the day. Devotees will throng from various parts of Tamilnadu for brahmotsavam. Hence district administration is making all arrangements for hassle free darshan.lIt is one of the 108 Vaishnava Divya Desams. Come July, the idol of Hasthagiri Varadar will be taken out from temple tank and kept for darshan. It will happen once in 40 years.
