Actor and president of Makal Needhi Maiam launched the Puducherry unit of the party at Alwarpet. The event saw cadres from Pudhucherru come in large numbers. Speaking on the occasion, Kamal Haasan urged the cadres to contribute their best for the welfare of the general public. He also announced set of office- bearers for Puducherry unit. Earlier Snehan welcomed the gathering. Party vice president DrMahendran, senior members took part in the event.
