Minutes after Rajinikanth slammed the Centre for failing to control the anti-CAA protests in Delhi, hislong time close friend and actor-politician Kamal Haasan on Wednesday night welcomed his remarks.
In a tweet, the Makkal Neethi Maiam (MNM) Founder said ''Good.Friend Mr Rajinikanth. Come like that...It is the way to go. This is a good path...not a separate path. It's a path of the race of Rajapattai...welcome, congrats''.
It may be recalled that Kamal, who was also critical of the Centre's handling of the anti-CAA protess, had hinted at aligning with Rajini, who has confirmed his political entry but was yet to form his own party, for the Assembly polls due next year and said it will be decidedat the time of elections.
Rajini, while endorsing it said once he floated his own party, he would discuss with his cadres and decide on aligning with the Kamal's MNM.
It may be also noted that there were rumours in the film circles that Rajini's final film, before starting his political party, was expected to beproduced by Kamal's Raaj Kamal International, though an official word was yet to be made about it.
